The best challenge in GW for a PvE'r is to roll a monk and go through that character's campaign while 1-monking with the entire UI turned off.

I was like this with monk and assassin. At my 3 year mark playing the game, my new big challenge was learning to play monk, after not doing it coz "Everyone monks!". I ended up loving it, and my monk is now one of my staple toons.
At my 3 1/2 year mark in the game, my next challenge was to try an assassin. Again, hadn't played it coz the survivability/skill chaining didn't appeal to me. BOY do I wish I'd tried an assassin when Factions first came out instead of struggling with a Rit. I would have made them my KoABD toon, instead of the warrior I made 6 months later. I LOVE the damage of an assassin.
Para I tried, finished NF, deleted, and will be trying again (since the buff). Derv I mucked around with, but didn't get off noob island...went too slow for me.

I love my sin for amazing DPS....prettymuch my only melee that gets used.
I absolutely LOVE casters, because it's just who I am, a supporter. Eles can use a lot of different things for both HM and NM, and can farm well too.

I have 13 slots, about half of which are male and female.
I haven't had any likings to play Assassin, Dervish, or Warrior.. so I guess I will make *rolls dice* a warrior Maybe W/D to cover two professions I usually don't play in one.
Level 15 is too easy though, you can get that in an hour doing nothing just sending henchmen.. so I will try this to at least Nahpui Quarters or Sunspear Sanctuary

I keep trying to do this with a Monk character, but get so bored that I can't get past level 15 or so.

I have all but the sin to level 20 (cant seem to get the hang of sin--and she is currently a mule)...I am all full and cant pvp worth anything....and the idea of making say a male mesmer....ewwwwww!
(for the record I have both male and female of: monk, necro, rit and 2 mule dervishes).....I did FINALLY make a warrior that I didnt delete (or debase to mule)...but I find it very hard to play her, though she has finished cantha and has gotten up to torment in elona and stuck at thk in prophecies.
I think I will have to pass on this one...no empty spaces and no desire to delete any of my kids...but a great idea OP!

I deleted my Monk about a week ago (she was going nowhere, I really don't like playing the profession) and ended up making a Necromancer. I'm not a fan of Necros, never have been. But I was determined to make a good-looking one =P So my Necro is female, like all of my other characters and...well, about two hours of play and she's level 13 and about to leave the starter island in Factions.
I'm starting to think that the reason I've never liked Necros is because early on MM is the only really viable build you can do, and I don't care for it at all. Hexing things is more fun, I think. Must get Spiteful Spirit =P

I believe that would have been me, and I didn't state 'all' of the faces. I only sited that male paragons had 'pretty faces' as an example. I'd verify, but that post and the ones it was replying to have all been removed *eyes moderators knowingly* so I guess it's sort of a moot point now.
As for the challange, I think I'm going to pass on creating yet another character. I have played all the classes, male and female, and have max leveled them all. I think I'm finished with making new PvE characters. At least for now.

I doubt I'll ever play Hero Battles to the Hero title. I simply don't micro manage that well and I really have no desire to.
I'm like 10-15 points away from r1 Glad though. I regularly roll PvP characters to do RA for a change of pace. =)

Well, I made a male rit on my new account, no skills unlocked, so my heroes suck.
How's that for a challenge?

we started couple of weeks back with a fightthrough event:
All participants started a new char and the campaign to go through has been chosen as: Factions at first.
We currently hit Unwaking Waters and for this event I bought me a new charslot and made myself a warrior I didn't have before and always has been a playstyle I like less: melee! Always before I been a caster: support, backline, midline, offence ... but always as caster.
And I have to admit its been fun the whole ride so far. Started as Axe warrior, I'm currently a Sword warrior with lots of AeO dmg

Heh. I got Factions on my second account about a week ago so I could start a new Rit. That account is almost four years old, bought back when we couldn't buy character slots, but there was only one level 20 on it - a ranger/necro who had only made it as far as Droknar's Forge. So, yeah, very few unlocked skills, no gold to speak of, no Eye of the North heroes/PVE skills. I added Nightfall about three months ago, mostly just to see what minipets my Nightfall PVP Preview character might have (Siege Turtle and Lich).
Anyway, my new Rit has proven to be a lot of fun to play and has gone through Factions and Nightfall, and is on his way to the end of Prophecies. I still haven't got Eye of the North on that account. Maybe later.

I recently made a new Ritualist, that I've played about 2 hours total in 2 1/2 weeks. I've made them and gotten them to level 20 in the past, same with a Paragon and another Paragon I got up to lv 10 or so. Those are the two more boring classes to me, but with the Rit buffs I went for it again. It's a bit more fun, but I've been doing things with my main and haven't really had time to play the Rit.
So after having about 2 or 3 Rits hit level 20 and 1 Paragon that did and another that got half way there, I still stand by my judgment that they are somewhat boring to play. Although that might change with the Rit, with the new spirits, however I doubt I will have fun for long. I'm the kind of person who likes dealing direct damage, rather than being a support class. Both of these classes are pretty mediocre at that, compared to other classes.

Well, it would be impossible for me to do this, as I have 10 pve chars, one of each class. All have finished all 4 games. I would honestly say that as far as h/h through the games, easiest classes are monk, ele, warr, para, rit, ranger. Necro and derv are difficult for some of the quests, and mes and sin are downright tricky for a lot of things. Not at all impossible though, as much of normal mode can be c-spaced with the correct heroes, and I would often surf the web during long fights and check back every so often to see how my h/h were doing.

Got one of each, rest of my slots is mules.
About Paragon, people find it hard to level. It is not your imagination, it is hard to level; it just doesn't seem inspiring when you are starting out.
My para and my ranger are my primaries. But I remember way back there gritting my teeth and repeating over and over, "Gotta' stick with it, I just know it gets better, has to get better ..." And it did. Now I've got all the para skills and elites in the game, but getting there was tough at times.

I've actually done that with my Necro and Derv. My Necro is still stuck at level 10, mainly because I'm not enjoying it and my Derv is half way through NF and I still hate it.

Sometimes I forget how old this game is. I only started playing 1-1/2 years ago. Although I've finished all the campaigns. 3 on my original ele (that's Falynn my login name) and EotN on my ranger, I haven't tried all the clases. Never played a warrior, dervish or paragon, I have a sin, level 15, that I can't seem to get comfortable with. I've tried three rits that I've deleted. I have a necro but she's not very far into NF, I like her a lot but my ranger is my girl.
The paragon is similar to my ranger BUT I really dislike adrenaline skills, I just don't seem to be able to get with the program on that. I need to get new armor for him. His starter armor showing his stomach is too... um... Bruno looking for me if you know what I mean.

I'm going to do this with an old character I never play. I'll finish prof (which I hate with a fiery passion) on my Warrior who is still in Old Ascalon. Warriors and other melee classes are my least favorite so technically I'm still following the rules.
